Yeh its the end of the linm pipe. It didnt have the same exit as the stock pipe. But after cutting that much of its the same or very close. Because i was able to fit a standard z900 slipon.

I realize this is a bit old, but is anyone running a mid-pipe only with their original exhaust?

I want just a lil more sound and weight savings. Im considering leaving in my stock cat and muffler with mid  pipe to eliminate only bread pan for more sound and weight savings without leaning the bike to the point of decel popping...

I have decat and aftermarket slip on and its pretty loud without baffle in. Im sure if you only deleted breadbox it would give you a nice sound without being too loud.
