For me the wear rate is about 1mm/1000km (in the beginning, slows down maybe a bit the more kms the tires have). Weight of the rider could be a factor, I'm 110'is kg with the gear. I also like to have fun and make hard accelerations (but no hard braking if avoidable), someone somewhere said that accelerations eat the tires like nobody's business.

Zeta I can confirm your wear rate in Finland: Ran a pair of pilot road 4s on a MT-07 this season  the rear went from 8mm to 3.5mm when I sold the bike and changed to the Z900. The bike mileage increased from 10000km to 16000 in that time, so the wear rate did seem like 1mm/1000km.
