New owner 2017 Z900
on: July 22, 2018, 01:45:31 AM
Hello all!  New owner of a 2017 z900....my first new bike!  This is actually my 5th motorcycle.....over the years I've had:

2004 Suzuki Katana
2006 GSXR 600
2008 SV650
2007 R6

The z900 definitely has the most grunt of any of them while still being quasi comfortable.  Loving the bike so far and on the hunt for a windscreen to help with the wind blast at speed.  Otherwise thinking about getting a slip-on for a bit more sound (Delkevic or Hotbodies) and eventually a fender eliminator.  Love the torque of this bike....has easy passing power in all gears.  Glad to be a part of this forum and looking forward to learning from others successes and failures.   :305:

A few pics of the Z.  Unfortunately my rear rim had two tiny pin-hole sized holes that were causing the rear tire to leak air......so the bike is in the shop awaiting warranty work....not a great start but s#%t happens.

Congrats for the new bike. I'd start with the fender eliminator, and I did, it's cheap vs a slip-on and makes the bike look much better. I personally might not invest in a slip-on since it's just about the sound and I always wear ear plugs (that I recommend to everyone).
