Will you keep the forum informed of what you do with them?   :027:

Tighten it 'til it strips then back it off half a turn.

I want to leave the cat on after trying decat headers my bike ran crap in town and had a flat spot low down  so I知 going to cut the bread box off which keeps the cat in place then I知 getting a link pipe fabricated
I値l take pics then post them
I found a decat link pipe available on eBay 」108 in Poland  made by dominator looks ok but I want to
Keep the cat
Updates to follow

Let us know how it works. I was thinking along similar lines. Leave original headers and just change the link pipe and also add a slip-on.
Where abouts in the UK are you? Who's making the link pipe for you?

This is how far I have got I cut the bread box off at the weld so it just clears the cat I did cut a hole in the bread box so I could see the clearance first then the other pic shows a flared reducer it痴 at the
Fabricator now with my complete headers for measurements
I知 sure this should be moved to another part of the forum

Not wanting to teach my grandma how to suck eggs,  but........
If your fabricator butts that reducer right up to the cat it will really restrict flow by blocking off the outer cat tubes.
The exhaust gases do not swirl around inside the cat they flow straight along the tiny passages.

Not trying to be a tw*t , just had to say.  :034:

 Can't you get a tapered one?  :027:

 Something like.

Yes we realised that he is either going to make a one or alter the one in the pic or we did think not to push it fully on
It is actually flared a little bit but not enough
Top marks for noticing
