Tighten it 'til it strips then back it off half a turn.

Link pipe made looks awesome  we used the standard can for a rigid pattern ,first test with standard can no flat spots or rough running low down  like decat headers and the standard can sounds awesome just like a race can
Def a success You wouldnt need to buy a race can it sounds like a bike should

Nice work! 👍
I particularly like the tulip shaped reducer. 😊

Looking good. But this will void your warranty though!
Can we hear a video of your exhaust?

If it's done to spare system no one would need to know. Just put a the unmolested pipe back on if you need to make a warranty claim.
However if you had a engine failure and had to get towed back to the dealership.....

I dont think there will be a problem a lot of dealers are fitting decat headers to new bikes before they leave the showroom without even  remapping ,this isnt changing the fueling as the cat is still in place its a case of removing a regulated Eu silencer to get a bit of noise out of the bike and as you say Ive got a standard system to put back on if I have a problem .
Ive come from  a z1000 with plenty of exhaust noise the 900 was to quiet.
Ill try and upload the exhaust sound I have put my Leo Vince can on now so its. a bit louder than the standard can

Looks good!  I made a custom one as well except i used a cone to reduce the pipe after the cat.  I also removed my cat.

Do you find your bike runs ok with the cat off I tried  some new headers without the cat  in slow traffic it ran terrible and  had a bad flat spot ,I was also popping flames out the silencer on the overrun
With the cat in its totally different 👍

I felt like it was running fine but i pulled the O2 sensor and it was solid black.  It was also backfiring alot, which i didn't necessarily mind.  But i ended up going with a power commander and just capped off the PAIR system.  My goal was to run no cat with no program but all the black build up can't be good.

On my bike Without the cat you could see straight away it was  running to rich you could actually smell it was different and sooty black like yours.
with the breadbox cut out its running as normal ,I havent tested it with my Leo Vince can yet so heres hoping its fine
Ill keep you posted
