Swingarm spools
« on: March 11, 2019, 02:55:23 PM »
Hello,

I purchased some swingarm spools off of Amazon but they sit too close to the swingarm and will result in my stand scratching the swingarm. Does anyone know of a brand that is longer that would prevent this?

Thanks

Rick

The last I looked I did not see any so I just took the hooks ( like in Robs stand ) and bent them outwards  towards the top. So they would not scratch my swing arm .... The second time I used it

I installed a set of cheap AliX spoils and ended up slightly scratching the swingarm the first time I used them. But Id ordered a second set of spools without logos so when they arrived I used half of the first set as a spacer and they work great, the stand now clears the swingarm perfectly.

Stay upright!

Thanks for the replies everyone. I ended up bending the stand tabs as suggested, I also added a few stainless washers behind the spool, good to go now!
