I know thereís been a few threads on helmet locks and lack thereof. I stumbled across this and it actually is pretty awesome. Looks like it could be a factory and not super bulky like some others.

Tidytail fender eliminator, Motodynamic taillight,Radiator Gaurd, NewRage front turn signals, LED headlights, aftermarket foot pegs front and rear, TST turn signal relay and taller than stock windshield, R&G frame sliders and front fork sliders

That bracket may be able to fit on the left side of the Z and you may even be able to make the lock work with your factory ignition key.
