Aliexpress Radiator guard, Evotech copy
« on: April 01, 2019, 07:50:25 PM »
Ordered a rad guard from Aliexpress which looked exactly the same as Evotech one, got it delivered today and it looks like a decent copy, finish quality is good, don't know about the fit yet as I am waiting for black screws instead of silver ones which come in the pack but once fitted I will let you know. Comes with fitting instructions and all the fittings.

Update.... Well just noticed one of the side walls is bent, so this guard wont fit,  :151: I guess if it wasn't damaged wit would be really good, and cheap alternative (1/3 of the price of original) will try to get replacement from seller or refund.

I got my on AliExpress too. $25. I got it because of the Z900 logo. After a year. Everything is still great. My friend used to gave me crap about cheap Chinese guard until they see on the bike.

If you buying one of them, bare in mind that the right side wall has incorrect bent on it, seller seems to think this is ok, but this is a manufacturer issue where it was bent in the wrong place. I ve bent it back up to 90 degrees but they all seem to be like that on Aliexpress listings. Still I guess for 20 its not bad.

That incorrect bend maybe how the Chinese swerve around Evotech patents.
Who in their right mind would design a vehicle that falls over when it stops?

Bart,
Did it bend back to the right angle ok without damage / deformities?
Doesn't look bad for the price.

I just got a new Z and very surprised they don't even come with anything covering it, another thing to buy!  :006:

It did bent back easy, although it left a small crease on the bottom edge, but i guess its not to bad you cant see it from the distance, the paint didn't chip or crack which is good.
Yeah you need some sort of cover, my rad already has 2 decent size stone chips.
