One thing I learned a very long time ago... if you are going to work on a jap bike, make sure you have a hammer driver!  I think Ive had mine for about 60 years now and I still pull it out from time to time.  It took me a while to realize that  the front part that normaly holds screwdriver bits, comes off to give you a square drive socket stud.  I have two, one is a 3/8 socket drive and the other is a 1/2 socket drive. 

Great tool!  And once you realize it has a socket drive, you can use all matter of adapters to break loose about any fastener

Yes, I have had them go both ways.
I just use an impact now  and. Now no issues.

Got the impact hammer last night and swapped chainring, took about an hour total. The longest time was taken getting chain slack right. Impact hammer was from harbor freight, 40 bucks with a coupon, definitely worth it.

Is there a brand of sprocket that is better than the rest? Or anyone that recommended?
Tidytail fender eliminator, Motodynamic taillight,Radiator Gaurd, TST front turn signals, LED headlights, aftermarket foot pegs front and rear, TST turn signal relay and taller than stock windshield, R&G frame sliders and front fork sliders

OEM? As in factory Kawasaki?
Tidytail fender eliminator, Motodynamic taillight,Radiator Gaurd, TST front turn signals, LED headlights, aftermarket foot pegs front and rear, TST turn signal relay and taller than stock windshield, R&G frame sliders and front fork sliders
