How? Why?

I've been slacking. 89 miles of that was a quick trip this week. I should just start commuting (100mi/day) with it.

I have a little over 3000 miles since I bought it in January.  I never have cleared my average miles per gallion.  The last time I looked at it it said 42.7 miles per gallon for just over 3000 miles.  Pretty good!  I enjoy riding,  but I am not trying to rack up a bunch of miles too soon and wear it out.

A well maintained bike should be able to do loads of miles. Was talking to a guy the other day who had 148,000 miles on his tiger 800. Also got chatting to a German guy that was touring the UK a few years back. He was on an old BMW bike (cant remember the model) and had a little over 500,000 kms on his bike! So I wouldnt worry about wearing it out, get out there and put some mileage in :305:
