How do you change the fork springs?
« on: May 10, 2019, 02:54:31 AM »

I got my new springs today and was eager to swap them. I had my bike of the ground at loosen the caps of the forks and noticed that this was a not so easy as i tought.

I now wonder if there is any way to change the springs without taking the forks of the bike? I will not change the oil just replace the springs.

Have found out that I need a tool for the adjustble leg on youtube. But the other leg do not look like this and how do you loosen it?

Im a totally beginner at this so can someone help me to describe how to fix it and what special tools needed to succed.

Sorry for my bad english.

You'll need to remove both forks and have access to a spring compressor.  Check out this video of an FZ09 fork service, which is pretty much the same as the Z900:
