Will the cables, hoses and instrument cluster work with a 1" bar riser?

I added these 40mm Bar Risers to my bike, a few days after I received it,  Quality kit from SW Motech.
There is an additional 10mm, spacer that can be added for a total of just over 50mmm.
At 40mm it suits me fine, and there is no cable snag, and no mods to the Display is required

@Gerrit   That doesn't look like it mounted up OEM.  You are not using a few screws that secure the turn signal assembly and it looks like you modified the cluster mount.  Not sure that would be considered "no mods".

I looked into it a while back, but on my Z (2020) it seems that I would have some cable issues and the TFT display would definitely be a problem - unless there is some slack to be had.

@broderp Ya its not possible to secure those 2 screws that secure the turn signal with out making a bracket for them. But the front don't seem to move or vibrate even with out it.

I have done a 1 3/4 inch risers from rox as handle bars were too low for me.
I had to also replace my stock break line for one from hel performance.

Sorry to resurrect an old post.

I've been looking to sort my handle bars out on my 2017. I've been getting a lot of pain during rides.

Between new bars and risers im leaning more towards risers. I've found the Rox risers for a good price in the UK.

Mounting the dash seems to be an issue, I can't really see in the photos how you've secured yours. Would you be able to send another photo?

Also, you mentioned you needed a longer brake hose, was that the only extension you needed? Did you also need to reroute a lot of cables?

    Thanks!

    @brewmytea

I had to create a mount so that i could install the instrument display.
the wire coming to the instrument display was a little bit tight but acceptable.

There was no need to route the other cables or to extend the cables on the handle bar including clutch cable.

Yes i had to use a after market break line as i has having issues with the stock one being a little short.

I believe there are ready mount options available for 2017 model year and no need to create one like me.

Can contact me for any assistance.

Hiya mate! Sorry to be a bother.

I was wondering how you managed to secure the risers using the original mount. I can't find a tool to tighten the factory clamp down against the risers. It's a struggle!

Ah I see what you mean, to tighten down the bottom Allen Caps is a bitch.

So where the Allen Key has the 90 degree bend, I grinded that part of the Allen key shorter, so that it would fit, and it enabled me to tighten down the 2 Allen Caps on both sides.

If my memory stays with me, I will take a pic tomorrow, and post it for you.

    Allo Allo, See pics below.
My SW Motech Bar Risers are also split midway, that makes installation very Simple.
I think the Rox Risers are one solid unit.

Hello every one sorry for not replying earlier

I had to cut the top bracket edges for the rox to fit.
I also push the handle bar all the way down and then tighten the top bolts of the riser then i adjust the position of the handle bar and then tighten the bottom 2.
This way no special tools required
