So, I'm going to buy one
« on: August 25, 2019, 05:20:34 AM »
I'm planning  to go to a couple of dealerships later this year toget a z900.

I'll be going in winter in hopes to haggle for a better price.

This is where I need your help!

A great way to haggle is to ask for parts or accesories to come with the bike. What things do you think I will need, like maybe a radiator protection or I tought about sliders...

Anyway, any suggestions? :155:

Read about them on a website, so they're that dangerous?

Short answer is NO but they do have limitations. They work great on warm rds / temps, their down fall is cool rds. I aired mine down a few PSI and put several thousand miles on them.

If you're a very mellow rider and don't ride in the rain then they are fine. But anything over the speed limit on a corner, wet or dry, be ready.

+1. This should be the first 'mod' before anything else.

I've got 1 "go to" dealership + salesman- bought the Wife's Ninja there in 20 minutes 11 years ago and still treat us right.
New Z this Spring w/ ABS they dropped $700 on it (I opted for additional 4 year warranty so basically got it for free) + get 20% off accessories, parts or gear.
I get stuff off EBay, AliX or other vendors as it's readily available with options + cheaper.

Go for $$$ off the price and make it your own.
Fun bike!
