I've got roughly 500 acres of open hay, corn + soybean fields and a productive patch of woods the neighboring farmers own to hunt.
Guy next door has 56 acres w/ food plots, deer certainly aren't starving around me.

My cameras will likely go up next weekend when the new stand gets hauled over and reassembled.

At this point I am leaning on keeping her and this winter adding a full system.... a middle of the road not Akro price system . adding a 636 forks ( SHOULD be straight forward lol key word SHOULD )  to be different and SS lines

Been checking a full Black Widow system, 300 MM tri oval carbon fibre can about $600.
Have their pipe w/ a Micron CF can on my ZRX and love the sound, deep tone + not annoying loud.
I like the longer look, older school race bike.

You can't leave Ras, the original members are dropping like flies at the moment  :012:

Get yourself some decent winter weather gear and get out there :152: Seriously though, I can empathise on the winter riding bit. The lack of electrical capacity on this bike is a major downside for me as I'd be running a full set of heated gear, spotlights and a few other bits if I could. Had a look at the capacity of the tiger 1200 earlier and its ridiculous, that thing could power a small town!

long slip-on might not look as good but they don't sound like fart cans like the short one does

Looks good to me. Short cans look great but without the breadbox upstream they are just too loud, for my personal taste.
Sure you can quieten them down with db killers but that would restrict flow and power output.
Big can is the way to go if you like a rich rather than obnoxious exhaust note AND a power increase.

Porkchop If you pick a can of similar dimensions to your ZRX you should achieve a similar outcome.

Here are some dB figures published by Delkavic in reference to silencer length with their Z900 headers.
225mm (9) long can = 105-107dB no baffle. 103-105dB with baffle
350mm (14) long can = 102-104dB no baffle. 100-102dB with baffle.
450mm (18) long can = 98-100dB no baffle. 96-98dB with baffle.

Size IS everything when it comes to noise suppression.

I did some googling. Decibels is not a linear scale and my research  :012: indicates that a 110db exhaust isnt 10% louder than a 100dB exhaust its TWICE as loud! Its probably more complicated than that and I hold my hands up if that not the full truth......but anyway its a s***t load more than 10%!  :005:

Tighten it 'til it strips then back it off half a turn.

I left the bike at home this morning as I have no interest riding to work when it is in the 30's . The time is closing in on deciding ..does she stay or does she go  :027: :027:
What exactly are you looking for in a bike? More power? Appearance?

 :084: that is a good question Zed .. My last 4 bikes have been  the Z9, (2) Gen3 Z1000's and a Gen 1 Z1000 .. so maybe just thinking something different  :027:
BUT
I am leaning at this point to keep the 9 for another year  :305: :305: :305: :305: :305:
