If it's anything other than a supercharged 1000cc then kawasaki have missed a trick. They need a BIG horsepower animal to compete with the superduke, s1k, new streetfighter and the mt10

Devilishly fiery and combustable, strictly for masochists, the unhindged and those with reckless bravado.

That would be in line with their recent statements around the 50th anniversary of the H1.

Kawasakis unfolding strategy seems to be about reclaiming the mantle of performance leader in the industry; hence having the most powerful bike in each class; so H2R for track, H2 for sports bike, H2SX for sports tourer, H2Z for naked.

But a new SC GPZ900 retro would be a hoot too!

No, the Z900 engine is the sleeved down 1000.

Tighten it 'til it strips then back it off half a turn.

It's just a silhouette but looks closer to the Z900 than I expected.

Notice the external brake reservoir. Signs of updated braking...

When I saw the thumbnail of the video I thought it was some kind of z900 fan made Photoshop.

Strange

Definitely gonna be interesting to see what its like. Im sure its gonna be way out of my price range! Super charged, brembo brakes, good suspension, cool electronic aids, quick shifter, high quality dash, decent tires etc. Bet its gonna be 20k ish and their gonna keep the 9 for us poor folks!!!🤣
