Welcome. No time like the present to start riding and you picked a great bike at that.  :821:

Hello from Alabama!  Be safe have fun.  Welcome!  I landed at Shannon airport once with the US Army to refuel .  I was a passenger on a airplane on my way home from Iraq.  Take it easy on that bike until you get used to riding .  It is powerful ,  very powerful!

Hi to the rest of you, too. Yeah, I appreciate it's a bit of a beast for a first ride, but I figured I could keep it for ages and not need to trade up. It's 2017, came with 11,000 miles, Akrapovic carbon can, bar end mirrors, and upgraded levers. Then I added a green rear brake reservoir cap and green dust caps: just the usual massive power gain items lol! Last night I added a tail tidy / LED and it looks awesome. So far I've probably only done about 7 or 800 miles on it dry damp and wet. Changed tyres (due to wear) to Pirelli Angel GTII's. Local tyre dealer had an offer of a free front so did both. Happy with the grip so far, although I'm not really pushing: still about 3/4 inch of a chicken strip left on them at the edge.

I love that bar at the Shannon airport!  I did two stops there when I was in the Air Force, one of which the aircraft had an electrical issue and we were grounded for about five hrs, most of which were spent at the bar, lol!

Welcome, High-5...greetings from across the pond in Atlanta, Georgia!

The Irish definitely know how to make some good whiskey!  The best I have ever had.  I dont remember the name of the whiskey I bought at the airport,  but it was the best!  It was sort of a light honey color,  and back in 2003 it was about 50 euros for a bottle.  Does anybody know the name of it and do they sale it in the USA?

Was it Jameson?  Its exported to the U.S. and available most places...great blended whiskey.

BTW, thanks for your service.
