Rear mudguard extender
on: January 14, 2020, 07:04:04 PM
Genuine Kawasaki Part Number 99994-0848. This part increases the width and length of the original 'elephant trunk' rear number plate holder/mudguard. If you really want to ride through wet, wintery and dirty conditions then this is the ONLY way you'll keep your back clean!  Very easy to fit, strong and well engineered. Function before style.

Do you have a picture on the bike?

The EBay listing includes a pro photo side view of the guard on the bike taken from the Webike Japan site.
Back soon. 👍

Tighten it 'til it strips then back it off half a turn.

Thanks Cazzy-R. Thats a great find. Interesting that Kawasaki are fitting it again for the 2020 model. The elephants trunk thing looks really odd without it. I suspect Kawa always intended it like this but different countries may have specified it without to appear more sporty. That was an error on all counts, as confirmed by the craze for tail-tidies by the Black Back Club. For all-year-round riding this mudguard extended actually works.

:152: from me for this accessory - this saves my back from road crap thrown up in regular commuting. I'm just as puzzled by others as to why it's not standard in several markets, I couldn't even order it from Kawasaki Australia and had to go to Webike Japan for mine. 'Tail tidies' make no sense for all weather riding.

.     I'm surprised you couldn't get one from Kawasaki Australia, mine arrived last week and I only ordered it in July. :001:
