snowmobile adventures come to an end
on: January 21, 2020, 02:42:15 PM
Sold the sleds Saturday, was a hard thing to watch them go but the time has come.
Figured with my previous back + 2 knee surgeries can't handle rough terrain like a 21 year old anymore, body hates the cold, limited time to ride @ once / week (we did 600 miles last year) + not much local snow the decision would be justified. My buddies have extras if I wanna go.
Wife and I are looking to get a toy hauler and do some camping with or without the bikes this coming Summer, get 3 seasons of use out of it VS 3 months.
Some cold brews while kicking back in my chair around a nice little fire is my vision.  :169:  :821:

One hobby ends another starts...

Anyone else do the camping thing?

Ive been camping when I was a kid. Started back last summer with the Z. A tent isnt the most confortable but it get the job done. The thing I hate the most is a need to pee once during the night.

Otherwise camping with friends is really nice. Cold beer with snacks near a fire!

I have one camping trip set up with my parents. They have the big thing with the trailer for their Harleys.

Weve done the Northeast ZRX rally for many years outta my buddys bigger sled trailer, dry shelter but loud as hell when it rains hard.
I set it up with a futon / mattress, Wife likes a folding cot, small fridge, carpet on the floor, bring my gas grill.
A 5 gallon pail with some water in it makes a quick toilet (not #2 friendly inside), beers do flow.
Extension cords, EZ ups and a lot of other camping crap to pack for a week (The green flamingos always travel) lol.

We got a few Canadians that come down for it, I'd fly the maple leaf if I had one.
I'll drink with anyone.
