on: February 14, 2020, 02:33:53 PM

My brother bought the Bohn armor which is similar. He used it once then sold it. He said he sweated like a pig.
You need a specific mesh jacket in a light color to reflect the sun. You will sweat and get hot at a stop light or stuck in traffic but once you get moving evaporation will cool you down.
There is no solution for getting hot in the summer.

Those things look like thermal underwear. I just know that when it's hot anything laying tight against your skin is uncomfortable.
What do you now wear in the summer? I find multi season jackets don't flow air all that well in the hot summer, not compared to a summer only full mesh. And the more protective the mesh, the less it flows air.

Look for a specific mesh jacket without the zip in liners. They shouldn't be too snug but they need to be able to hold the armor where it needs to be.
The secret is to ride where you can keep moving without having to stop. I don't mind the hot dry days but the hot humid days are brutal. I try and get out early AM in the summer.

We call it canicule in French. It reach 35-40 with a lot of humidity! At least its not like that all summer. Maybe 2-3 weeks during the summer. But it can reach 25-30 easy.

The humidity must be coming from the river and the gulf.
