I use Kawasaki OEM, but Hiflofiltro is pretty good for aftermarket.

Some bad reports floating around on the K&N (seal failures etc), but I've used them once with no issue. The hex bolt on it made it easy to remove.

I bought 3 Hiflow filter for 8-9$ each. Pretty good since everything is more expensive in Canada compare to the US.

Hard to imagine voiding a warranty if you use a non oem oil filter. It's not like you're not changing your oil at all lol.

My warranty is long gone for my part.

 This is old news.
In my service book issued by Kawasaki UK/EU it's states that any replacement part used on the bike during the  (2 year) warranty period must be a genuine Kawasaki part unless you have written consent from Kawasaki to use another brand.
This is an importer imposed rule taking into account consumer legislation for the region, in my case the EU, for now. The warranty rules in different parts of the world may be different and they are definitely different, to here, in the US were it's seems any brand is allowed.
Using OEM Kawasaki oil filters is a no brainer as far as I'm concerned, They are as cheap as the completion and readily available.
I sometimes buy mine from Sportsbikeshop if I'm buying gear in which case P&P is free.
Hiflo have a good reputation and loyal following and are a similar price to OEM.
Anyone fitted one of Hiflo's air filters?
