Max potential top speed?
on: May 22, 2020, 02:58:14 AM
After I got my ECU flashed I was surprised to hit 160mph flat. It seemed like there was still room for more, but I let off immediately once I saw 160. Has anyone gone faster?

Fastest i have gone is 65mph/104km/h. But I have a strong suspicion that 125+mph/201+km/h is possible. 130+ may or may not be possible going downhill, on a highway, on a straight road.

I'd wish to see how you drive your bike )))
I get 65mph on the 1st gear from every traffic light 😄😄😄😄

I'm absolutely certain your strong suspicion is correct. 👍
Ride within your personal limits, have fun and stay rubber side down. 🍻

Tighten it 'til it strips then back it off half a turn.

i think i should have included a :038: in my post. The maximum speed limit is 65 here, so obviously i never went faster than that (wink wink). Don't ask about how I know about the 130mph.

There is a clip on youtube for Z900 2020 and max speed from Germany. 252kmh (157mph). That was at 11000rpm where is rpm limiter, so no way to go faster with stock gearing and ECU with that limitation. Substract 5-6% from that to get real speed (238kmh/148mph)

Believe it or not I've hit 260 kph on the speedo which is a bit more than 160 mph I think. It was on a bit of a downhill road.
The bike has full system, other wise stock.
