The engine vibrate when i release the clutch
on: June 03, 2020, 03:00:36 PM
Hi,
Sometimes when i release the clutch when I have to accelerate, the engine vibrates and makes some kind of howling sound, it's only when i accelerate and the rpm are low - anyone tried the same?

Are you "short shifting"? That is shifting to a higher gear when rpm's are really low creating a lugging condition?
That would account for the vibration.

Yeah I also get this every once in a while.
I think somebody said before in another thread that it was just something to do with how light the clutch is and is nothing to worry about.

Don't quote me on that though.

Exactly! That's precise the same issue i have  :006: I have tried asking many different dealers, but they have no clue... Have your bike always had that "problem"?

Ohhh, I tried seaching for a topic like this in here, but I couldn't find anything. Do you remember what it's called?
By light clutch do you mean the slipper clutch?  :001:

Noise on the first couple of take offs can occur until the clutch plates get some oil on them.
If you search "noisy clutch" or "clutch noise" (who would have guessed 🙄) you will find a bundle of threads mentioning it.
It may make a noise but I don't recall anyone posting about a clutch failure other than clutch slip which is a different issue.
 Ride more, worry less. 👍

Tighten it 'til it strips then back it off half a turn.
