Kawasaki frame plate
on: September 26, 2020, 02:47:17 PM
I was just curious as to why some Zís have frame plate thatís riveted to frame and some donít? Mine just has the rivets in holes but no plate. Is it because some made in Thailand and some in Japan? Thanks

Yes,

Tighten it 'til it strips then back it off half a turn.

Z900 for sale!!🤣 Iím sure the Thai factory has newer better calibrated machines compared to the old Japanese plant thatís still using the original machinery that stamp out those plates! Want to sell that plate? JK Iím sure both are up to Kawasaki standards and quality.

IKR  :001:

I hit a double lottery...2018 with stronger frame that didn't need the recall frame plates and have the Jap built VIN plate  :082:

So the jap models have a frame plate meaning my bike weighs less since it doesn't have one!! Oh wait I have useless EVAP crap though, still lose there....
