tomorrow I will chop / cut and rebuild lol
basically, there is room to take an 1 1/2" from where it mounts to the bread box to move it closer to the bike and then do a big time slash cut. Add some high temp paint black paint to make ef smile

Do you know the degrees on the angle the pipe has?  :002:

my local auto shop did not stock a mandrel bent tube, maybe  yours does. It would be better to have a local muffler shop bent one for you if not  :821:

It doesn't look the best with that angle and no filler piece but  hopefully gives you the idea

if you don't have a muffler shop to bend ebay has pieces for $20 ... I think it might look good to get 2 1/2" mandrel bent 45 degree pipe and use the OEM muffler insert...... if you do it post a pic. Not sure what direction I am headed  :028:

Ok Ras and others,
Here is the one I am working on at the moment, grabbed a piece of stainless 2inch tube OD, had to get it flared to 51mm inside diam at an exhaust shop, and got a clamp like original only smaller. I nipped and tucked it here and there to what I wanted and here it is.
I'm gunna make up a cover next to hide bread box muffler. Just so ya all know the sound increase from the exhaust is a massive, 1 maybe 2 decibels,   :008:

I wonder if you could reuse the stock cover.

Yeah thanks mate, its all good fun and only its 5 mins to put the stock one back on if I don't like it. But in real life I actually really like it, to me and probably me only, it has the look I am after. Will give it a run for a while.

Yes you definitely could cut the original cover to fit around it, but if I want to put it back to stock I will not have the cover, and it would only have 1 bolt supporting it which might crack after a while with the vibs.
So I might make one by removing the plastic front cover that has 1 bolt and make a new long cover that uses both the bolt holes, I have made up a template so when I get it done I will post up a pic or 2.
