2021 Cat/breadbox delete
on: April 26, 2021, 01:19:33 AM
Hi Everyone,

Just got a 2021 Z900. I've been searching the forums on here endlessly for anyone who posted a link for a 2020 or 2021 Z900 breadbox/cat delete link pipe. Can't seem to find one anywhere. Anyone have a link of one that fit their 2020 or 2021 bike? I definitely want the bread box gone, and if the Cat doesn't get deleted I can just drill it out (not a big deal to me).

If none exists I may just go all out on the SC Project titanium headers. Just bought the S1 slip on so I guess at least I would have the comfort of knowing the slip on would fit!

Here is a thread I started not long ago. You'll find help here.

Yea I read through your post. Nobody mentioned any link pipes that fit on a 2020 or 2021. Did you end up finding one to fit your bike?

In the US, they use same exact exhaust from 2017 thru 2021 (to date). If you plan to eliminate CAT/breadbox, the end of the OEM doesn't matter.

Oh awesome! Is the only difference in getting the link pipe vs. headers without a cat/breadbox just the cost? or will I see better performance getting new headers all together?

Maybe you read it before others posted links and pics? There's a few links posted for breadbox/cat delete link pipe and also pics of both (breadbox only delete and breadbox/cat delete) link pipes so you can be sure of which one you need. I found a breadbox only delete pipe on Ebay. Now I just need to find a shop to install it.

As for differences between link pipes and full headers I would guess the full headers will be much better as far as performance. I am not a pro by any means but would guess maybe because they have better welds/bends and guessing the ID is slightly bigger than what is stock that flow would be better? Don't quote me on that though, members like Frontline and many others are much more knowledgeable than I am and can say for sure. Oh and yes, definitely a big price difference as well :001:

More gains to be had from headers. Aside from more weight loss, aftermarket headers have a larger diameter for more flow. There a video from Brocks performance on youtube about the Z900 where he goes into this and says that the diameter and wall thickness of the OEM headers is a form of restriction.

Full de-cat on stock headers works really well.  :028:

Though for the price of a Chinese header it's not worth chopping up (ruining) an OEM exhaust. You will regret it come trade-in time.

Tighten it 'til it strips then back it off half a turn.

Hey bro I did my bread box and cat delete myself with a grinder. I never did anything like that b4 but it worked out perfectly. I order the cat delete pipe from ebay cost me $60. Perfect fit angle and had the connectors to put the bottom plastic pieces back on.
