High mileage tires...is anyone using them?

Has anyone switched to using 'high mileage 180 55 17 tires'?  And if so what is your opinion?

What do you mean buy "high mileage tires"?

I plan on changing the OEM rubber out for Pirelli Angel GT tires, which are dual compound sport touring tires (harder rubber in the center, softer at the edges). In my experience, I can get close to double the mileage out of those as opposed to single compound soft sport tires.

I've used the 'Commander II' on other bikes but it may have been upgraded by now to a III or IV by now...I've also heard good things about the dual compound Shinko Verge and Raven???? I will report back to the forum....P.S. I've attached some videos for any members still unable to ride because of the weather...I'll apologize in advance for the old fart slowness of my riding and the choice of old fart music in advance....PEACE RIDE SAFE

I've seen the RoadSmart used on touring bikes. I've not heard of any complaints

Not cheapest but Michelin road 5 if you run stock pressure or close to it should get decent grip and lots of miles if you drive like a old person like me!!

I've friends that are using the 190 50 17 Shinko Verge and Raven on their bikes...Both riders have had nothing but positive remarks...Both are excellent (both were track day junkies a few years ago) riders. sooooooo I will give it a try and report back...PEACE RIDE SAFE...
P.S. We've had a couple of forest fires on the the route from Monterey to Big Sur...so
