Help with kriega tail bag installation
on: July 31, 2021, 02:52:02 AM
Could anyone with a kriega tail bag installed show me pictures of how you setup your straps on the frame? All the installs I've seen on other bikes only have the little loop for the hooks sticking out from under the seat. I can't get the plastic piece that tucks in the slack to be in a position where it's hidden under the seat, it's just too close to the loop to have enough room. I feel like I'm missing something really obvious, maybe trying to install it after riding for 6 hours wasn't a good idea lol.

Looks like you have the same issue as me but it still works fine, thanks for the pictures.

Dont try and use the white-dot loops for the rear straps. Turn them around 180 degrees and make your own loop, and have the white dots on the inside.

No pics at the moment, but I used the Kriega loops for Ducati instead of the stock loops. They screw directly into the frame at the rear of the seat. In the front of the seat, used the stock loops. I'll try to remember to take some pics and post.

I have two straps going around the frame under the rear pillion and the other two wrapping around the fender eliminator.  If the rain lets up I'll try and get a picture.

Thanks, that looks much better than my current setup.

Inspired by the Ducati straps, I made the following modification:

Cut the original adjustable strap loop buckle off, trimmed the strap, melted a hole through the double-layer section remaining after cutting off the plastic loop buckle.

That's awesome, does the bag push forward into your back with that setup?
