ECU Flash effect on rider modes?

I like the fact that my 2020 z900 will go into a low power mode when I put it in Rain mode if the roads are slick. How will ECU flashing effect the low power mode? I think it cuts power to 55%. Does this change?

Low power mode is still heavily restricted for poor weather conditions with our custom mapping.

Just had mine flashed. The flash affected “sport” mode only. All the other modes including rain stayed the same. Hope this helps!

I had a follow up question. I appreciate the responses. I generally ride in “ROAD” mode, which is a full power mode with moderate traction control. Is the fuel cut disabled on the ROAD mode and RAIN mode? I would like a smoother throttle in all rider modes.

Rain - fuel cut and full traction control
Road - standard fuel and full traction control
Sport - standard fuel and full traction control
Rider - rider defined fuel and traction
    That’s what dealership told me

I use my flashed sport mode for daily riding, then rain in the rain. You can either get a new map put on each or specific ones according to the guys that dyno’d and flashed my ecu. If you only use road and rain, I’d probably just get the fuelling changed on the road mode.

Best bet would be to give your chosen company for fuel maps and flashing a call and see what they reckon as they know best and will do a map based on what you use your bike for and what you want from it. My company I chose to do it had to buy the newer connectors to do it as the 2020+ models use a newer connection to the ECU.

When we flash the ECU on these bikes, we disable the fuel cut on decel for every mode. There's absolutely no reason to leave it on at any time, from both a performance and throttle smoothness standpoint.
