Headlight
on: September 06, 2021, 02:10:42 PM
Hey folks, nit sure if this is the proper area for this thread but here goes. Is there anyone that has changed their headlight bulbs? Or even found a way to adjust them? I have a 2020 and found the headlights to be just about useless. The high beam also has little to no difference from low beam. Not a big night rider but ended up riding about an hour well after sundown. Made it home fine by the street lights and my own awareness lol. This isn't the first time I have ridden the Z at night just the longest. I always thought they sucked from the jump when I first rode it at night last year but this last run the other night proved that they are not safe for night riding. Any input is appreciated.

Not possible on 2020 and 2021 to replace them, but you can adjust both vertical and horizontal

Its a fixed unit as theyre led. You can only adjust them. There is a retrofit kit for the 2020, but thatll be a lot of work if you dont really ride at night. Ive retrofitted hid projectors to my 2017 and its amazing, but I was commuting in the dark year round when I did that.

Same here, but I fixed it. The high beam was aimed above the road surface off track to the right, low was too low on center.

Jack your bike indoors and train the headlights against a flat surface. Make adjustments. Go ride after dark and see if it's good. Readjust until the entire light stream illuminates the area in front of you. You gotta see what's coming at you.

Thanks for the tips. I will try to adjust and see if that helps.
