2017 Z900

New to the forum.

I bought my 2017 about 2 months ago.  Previously owned a couple of SV650s and on my second FZ07.  Though I love my FZ, I think this Z900 is way better.  Not sure why I don't see to many on the road.

Anyway, just wanted to start my 1st post.  Looking forward to wrenching on this thing.   I changed my front tire yesterday and managed to not put a single scratch on it by using cut up pieces of the empty laundry detergent bottle.  I even ordered the bead buddy and ended up not having to use it.

Oh and thanks to whoever posted that reference to the 14mm allen socket for the front wheel axle.  Otherwise I would've ended up buying a whole set cuz I had no clue what size it was.

Cheers

Welcome fellow '17 owner.
Are you aware many of the 2017 model year were subject to a free of charge safety recall?
It's easy to check if the strengthening brackets have been fitted. See link below.
If no brackets are present check for the dot punch mark. Better still check with Kawasaki if your VIN number qualifies.
Ride safe.

Tighten it 'til it strips then back it off half a turn.
