That’s how I did mine when I changed clutch springs. I heard they could be reused on this forum and they were correct. Maybe if it’s old and high mileage or has been on/off a couple times may need new one but mine was like new condition and reused with no issues. No gasket sealer.

Service manual calls for two smears of sealant where the gasket straddles the crankcase joints. There is potential for a machining mismatch there.
I reused the gasket too but did as the manual instructed with regard to the sealant.

Right.  I suppose you can always reuse something as to not waste .. but it's the cost vs. functional value that helps in my decision making.  I might put some thought into it if gaskets were expensive or hard to come by and same for sealer.   Perhaps the frequency of clutch jobs might also be a factor.

Same train of thought for those 5 cent washers for oil changes.

My gasket was peeled a little in a couple of places so I put a thin smear of non-hardening gasket sealer.
I did the same on a recent clutch inspection on another bike. I reused the gasket even though I had bought another for replacement. The factory doesn't use a sealer. I use a thin coating of Hylomar.
