My first run in with a Z was my brother’s Zephyr 550. First street bike I ever rode (around the yard). Laid it over in the grass and got a nice burn on my leg. I was probably 14 or 15. Second one was a beautiful orange 2003 Z1000 I passed going the other direction while on a GSXR600 at around 26 years old. Ended up buying a 2007 Z1000 shortly after and actually got to ride that same 2003 after meeting the owner. I also owned a 1975 and 1976 KZ400. I recently gave them to my nephew to see if he can have the time and commitment to bring at least one of them back to life.
Now have my 2017 Z900. Good times indeed.
