Yet another "best tire for... " Survey 😂

Looking to get some new tires this season. Riding only in dry and warm weather, I will maybe throw an occasional track day. Not bothered about wet or cold (below 10 degree) grip. I want good responsive dry grip, quick warm up and millage between 4-5k for set.

    Competitors:
    - Bridgestone S22,
    - Micheline Power 5,
    - Metzeler M9RR,
    - Continental Sport Attack 4

Dunlop Q4 are great! You could get that mileage if you really wanted to, but riding hard, expect 3000. If only going with the listed tires, canít comment, havenít tried any of them.

I run the Power 5's because I like the softer feel that Michelins typically have (especially since I haven't done suspension upgrades yet). At my local moto shop they mostly sell Dunlop Q3+ for sportier riding, and a lot of guys like the feedback that they provide.

With that said, every tire has different characteristics, and different riders are going to like different stuff. I think everything you listed falls into about the same category and, at that point, I'd just pick one, see how you feel about it, and maybe try something different in 5k miles. I really like my Power 5s, but I'll probably switch to Dunlops at the end of the year, or hell, even something else if there is a good rebate.

    - Continental Sport Attack 4

I would be willing to run any one of those brands. They're all good.

I have the most total miles on the S22.

I was decided on S22, after reading opinions on FB groups. Rang my tyre guy and was told £290 fitted for set. He then said he has Power 5s for £280 and said if I can hold up he will be able to do it cheaper in March when Michelin will have some offers, so probably will wait and see what deals come up to make my mind. His opinion was that Bridgestone square up the fastest from all manufacturers.

    Well there you have it.

Choosing street tires is like choosing your favorite color.

    😂

I'm shallow.. I choose tires based upon looks.   Same with oil.... if the bottle looks good that is my brand of slippery.
