Hey yall! Purchasing my first bike this week. 2018 Z900! so excited. Purchasing from my co-worker with only 750 miles on it! I have rode other bikes on a rare occasion, but buying my own this week. Excited to learn how to ride safely and have fun. the Z im buying does not have ABS. Makes me a little nervous. But then again never rode one with ABS anyway. But then again again. Never got to ride the roads like I have wanted due to the previous bikes always being owned by someone else. ANYWAY! Excited to be part of the club! Will add pics of the bike this weekend!

Well a how are ya now from Wisconsin. Definitely take the rider course right away and be extra careful outside of that since you don't have abs. Its far too easy to lock up wheels when you're a little green.

    Welcome from the Chicago Suburbs!

Sounds like you might be new to riding? Agree with statement above, go take the MSF course.

Looking forward to seeing the photos!

    Welcome  :821:
Yup, the z900 is very easy to ride but take it slow and take some riding courses to bring you up to snuff. No worries about no ABS if you learn how to brake properly in emergency situations. Easier maintenance and better braking performance as well.

    Hellos from North Texas

I also have a Z900 2018. for the ABS, do not worry about it, I did my course to get the licence (last week)  and on the breaking test, the ABS activated and the bike stops very smoothly, I was impressed.

Would like to hear you experience with he beautiful bike!!

Thanks for thw interest guys. Since I first posted and got the bike. Already put 3k miles on it! :152:

I guess my nerves were just butterflies. Im very comfortable now, but i remain safe to respect the bike. Im not going to lie though. I have alot of straight a ways on my ride each day to work. Have cracked the 120 mark a few times. I dont maintain that speed very long though.

I did take the basic rider course at HD dealership. Plan on taking the advanced course soon. I will snap some pics of the bike today and post them. Im extremely happy I choose the Z900 over the cbr600 I was looking at before I bought the Z.

    Much love from Destin Florida!

Well alright. 👏 You can keep the z900 forever. I donít know your age but a cbr600 isnít the best once you get older. Plus i4 600's are rev happy and can make you anxious when you feel like just cruising along.

Welcome to the forum. An excellent choice over the CBR600, no doubt.

A word of caution - at that speed, nobody will see you coming... until it is too late.
