    Breadbox delete

Finished up a breadbox delete tonight.  I found a junkyard full exhaust from a 2017 for $50 - it cleaned up really nice!  I wanted to keep my full stock exhaust intact. Iím using a Hotbodies slip-on.

Itís pretty damn loud, more so in person. I have a db killer for the can, but Iím not fond of the overall sound profile with it in. More than likely Iíll change the slip-on to a Yoshi AT2, that should quiet it up a smidge 🤞🏼

It runs smooth and no pops with the AIS still operational. If I decide to get the ECU flashed (not because of the exhaust, but for all the other perks), Iíll probably gut the cat, block the AIS, and remove the o2 sensor - but it definitely doesnít seem to need it.

I have a carbon fiber heat shield coming from AliExpress and I plan on welding on the mid-pipe and ceramic coating the whole thing over the winter.

     Good decision.
Standard exhausts will be in demand as the noise/emissions laws start getting enforced.
Tighten it 'til it strips then back it off half a turn.

Yeah that would work if you know a guy you can trust to weld it on straight with no leaks for little money and if you can actually find the adaptor ring 5 years after you moved house.........but yeah that would work.  :008:

I took it for a solid 40 mile ride and my thoughts?

    - Runs great

    - A bit more perky with smoother throttle

    - Even with the CAT still intact, the AIS needs to be blocked, sheís got some pops on decel

    - itís obnoxiously loud, even in 5th at 30mph. Borderline unbearable

I think this was the perfect slip-on to match up with the breadbox - it was louder and had a low throaty growl.

Iíll install the db killer and give it a chance. Overall, until I find the right slip-on to quiet it down, Iím going to throw the stock header/bb on and do the $8 exhaust - I do want it a little louder.
