I may not be able to get to that. I think I'm going to move on to something different and I’d rather not drill the hole just to test it. You need to drill out the hole for the screw in the bottom of the SS end cap - I’ll save that for the future owner if they choose to install the db killer. I’ll get a sound check video though.

I haven’t taken it for a test ride yet, but it sounds pretty good with stock can. At the head, it idles about 85db and peaks in the upper 90’s in the revs.

I got a good ride in this morning and I’m really loving the sound. I can definitely tell it’s a bit more restricted.

The only problem is, I don’t want the stock can, so the search is on for a quieter slip-on. Lol. I’m sold on the breadbox delete 100% though.

I installed the DB Killer and put the slip-on back on. It actually sounds much better than it did when I was holding it in with my finger  :008:

I’ll get it out on the road tomorrow to see how I like it. It’s definitely much quieter at idle; at head height, it’s about 80db, down from 95db  :006:

A couple more videos up. I think I’ll leave it like this for a bit, I can keep the noise down if I want and it screams above 7k.

I’m going to gut the cat and plug the AIS this weekend and send the ECU out for a flash in few weeks.

I finally found a sound profile and level I can live with.

I couldn’t get over how the Hotbodies sounded like a hot fart with the db killer in - it sounds much better on video.  😂   It sounded really nice without it, but the bike was unbearably loud.

So, I swapped for a 2 Bros Hurricane I got a nice deal on. Without the db killer, it’s a bit louder than the Hotbodies with the db killer. With the db killer installed in the 2 Bros, it drops the level significantly while keeping the same sound profile. I can ride through the police station parking lot with this setup. Lol

I blocked the AIS today, and I still plan to gut the CAT soon.

These measurements were all taken with Decibel X on the iPhone. The phone placement and the parking spot were the same for all comparisons. Bike was warmed up.
