    Seat height adjustment…….

    Hi,
    Here’s something I learnt today.
On a  z900 owners Facebook group I saw the following ……
To adjust the angle of the seat there are some rubber bushes at the rear on the subframe.
Turn them over and the seat is more level.
It might help avoid the gradual forward slide when riding for a while.  (It makes my “ gentleman’s area” quite uncomfortable and I have to shuffle back).
Was it just me that didn’t know this?

Never heard that either! Gonna have to give that a try! Any down sides to reversing those rubber dampeners? Thanks

Not sure yet, I’ll ride tomorrow, BTW I use the ergo seat.
I did have a pro set up my suspension a few months ago. He raised the rear ride height by winding on the preload so I’ve felt the forward slide on the seat more since then.

Yip I posted that in the FB group, I swopped those grommets around when I got my bike in March, just never got around to post it here. I also added spacers to the two front rubbers that gives the seat more lift in front. Seat comfort has been fine since then, no need for aftermarket seat. We gotta be creative here in SA, as our currency is so weak, too expensive to import the nice goodies.  I also made some other tweaks to the bike, will post these with some pics later, regards Gerrit

Rear cowling (is it called cowling? - sorry for bad English) is not stressed? Stock seat setup is very close to it, just saying.
