Weather conditions definitely affect the performance of an engine. I haven't noticed much difference with my Z900, but my car's engine for example definitely feels more 'lively' with outside temperatures around 10-15 °C. And even better when it's a bit damp outside. Better pull, better throttle response, all the things you describe with your Z900.

    Normal

Cooler air is denser and contains more oxygen allowing for better burns in the combustion chamber.

Which is why u feel like it has more power than it sucking in hotter air.

Also why cars has "cold air intake" kits to allow cooler air to be sucked in rather than hot air under the engine bay.

Gas is denser in cool air therefore you’re getting more per squirt of the injectors.
Back in the day they used to sell "cool cans" which were installed in the fuel line of drag cars. The cans had an internal coil of fuel line. Inside the can you placed dry ice or regular ice. This would chill the incoming fuel making it more dense for more power. Theoretically. 🙄

I guess they still sell them.
