Reputable Manufacturer, if that oil is with MA or MA2 standard and appropriate viscosity (weight), I can't see a problem. But try to use at least semi synthetic (or full synthetic), not mineral - semi synthetic is not that expensive and better than mineral (full synthetic are the best, but not really needed for Z900 for street use).

. Yep it’s suppose to be quality oil and that’s correct for your bike👍🏻 Motul also good.

im currently on shell full synthetic 15w50... the red bottle : https://www.shell.com.my/motorists/oils-lubricants/advance-for-motorcycles.html

2 other friends are using it as well...real smooth n we love it... in fact i will be doing an oil change in a couple hours to the same oil as well.

years ago i have also used liqui moly street 10w40 semi synthetic in my previous z250 and it was rough as sh#t. hated it so much that i changed it out before 3k km to a mineral oil and the mineral oil was smoother throughout its entire 5.7k km lifespan. so now i feel liqui moly is an overhyped brand with sh#t oils. this brand will never touch my z900
    https://liquimolymalaysia.my/collections/engine-oil-motorbike/products/liqui-moly-motorbike-4t-10w-40-street-1-liter-1521

i say go with the shell.

    +1
    https://riders.drivemag.com/news/aftermarket-oil-filters-banned-from-various-competitions/

AFAIK the exploding oil filter thing was specific to K&Ns, and not Hiflos with the welded nut

Perhaps they have rectified the issue by now, but why bother when genuine Kawi OEM filters are dirt cheap at my local. Last time I bought a K&N oil filter it was $2 more expensive!
