    Suddenly won't start

No warning, nothing out of the ordinary. Pulled a couple of the plugs they are getting fire. All the usual sounds, fuel pump relay and fuel pump runs. All fuses ok,battery hot. Motor spins. Cam chain looks OK from timing access port. Not 100% sure fuel is making it to cylinders. When i removed tank only a couple of drops of fuel were in the line. Can I pour a small amount of fuel into each throttle body to see if it will hit?

Just a bump for members much more knowledgeable than I.   :020:  Careful about backfires as with any engine not having the air cleaner in place but this would seem to be a good test. Can you check to see if the fuel pump is pressurizing the system properly? Do you have a z 900 manual?

    Not kickstand...motor spins.
Fuel pump pressure is my next try. Got some tubing yesterday to set it up. Yes luckily I have a shop manual. I tried putting a small amount of fuel down the throttle bodies it didn't fire, but I am hesitant about doing this. A very small amount is all I trickled in

Your getting air and spark so sounds like your on right track. Fuel pump, filter, or injectors? Dumb question but you are out of warranty? Good luck

You can spray starting fluid into the throttle bodies and the engine should run for a few seconds if all else is fine.
Keep the fuel tank well away.
Have a fire extinguisher and a damp towel on hand for safety.

Yes out of warranty by a little. Starting fluid sounds a little over the top. Can't I use fuel instead?. I dribbled a little fuel down the throttle bodies but not much. I was hesitant to put much in them. Getting ready to set up fuel pump test with a long hose on the tank outlet

Starting fluid is easier and safer to use than gas. It’ll get the job done if there’s spark.
Just spray it in while cranking.

Ok. Just checked fuel pump. Per the manual pumping the correct amount of fuel during the 3 second start up activation
Going to hesitantly try starter fluid....maybe?
Wait! If the fuel pump works, the plugs are firing, the timing appears to be unchanged, I checked TDC with the timing marks......fuel injection?
