as I said im 65 5 but have the body of a 40 year old  the wisdom of a 90 year old and the attitude  and humour of a 15 year old   still do on average 15,000 miles  a year in Europe and SEA  Thailand, Cambodia etc

A pal of mine in Uk is 77 he still rides his 1973 Norton commando all over Europe  doing Camping tours every summer in the company of hos 101 years old Dad who rides his 1936 Indian ..   I hope I can still do that in 30 years time

next year I want to get either a Ninja 1000sx  or an  new Guzzi Mandello 1000 for touring

gonna sell a couple of the Ducatis this year  to fund the tourer
How do the Monsters compare to the Zee? I had a 99 M900, fantastic bike, the front end feel was amazing. 42,000 miles on it when I sold it.

The S4 compares very well with the Z900  mine has been heavily modified it now has 117 Hp  Ohlins rear shock and  Ktech valved front forks   It is  as fast as the Z900 and accelerates almost as rapidly but its not as refined , It is 20kg lighter  and  not as planted  but I love its wildness , I have ridden it for over 35,000 miles in Thailand, Malaysia, Laos and Cambodia  even down dirt roads and mountains and I would not try that on the Z , the V twin digs into the road so traction is brilliant wheras  the Z900 just overpowers the road , cant be ridden on Dirt road like the Ducati,,  But its 22  years old now and I  will use it for fun rides not long distance  the Z900 is now my SEA touring bike.

I UK  I have 31 years old 750ss and 2 750 monsters 2000 and 1997 ,, I have used the monsters to tour around Europe  they are brilliant  comfy quick up to 120mph , stylish and  handle superbly , both have performance mods and suspension upgrades and are very reliable , he 750ss  is a back roads scratcher ,, its so much fun and handles the best of any boike I have ever owned or riden including new Duactis and  jap sports bike s,,  It may not have the power  its oly 70hp but it runs rings around more powerful bikes including the Z900 on twisties.

but later this year when I retire , 2 of the UK Ducatis are  getting sold , one I will keep one of the 750 Monsters  and  will either buy new Kawasaki 1000sx tourer or new MotoGuzzi Mandello V1000  water cooled sports tourer with panniers  for long trips around Europe
