Which one is the better bike in your opinion?

    Hmm define better lol

I like riding the Z better especially in the tight windy roads
I LOVE the looks and build quality of the RS
The Z feels like a modern bike the RS feels distinctly old school, the wide handlebars, upright riding position, power delivery and the snarl from the exhaust just makes it feel like a cammed hot rod Z900 from the 70's (compared to the Z)
The power delivery and fueling in the Z is vastly better than the RS, more linear and lacks the abrupt throttle response down low.
The high beam on the RS is better for night riding
I'm not a fan of the seat or suspension on either bike but I'm working on that. My ZRX 1200's had far better seats and my 1982 GPz550 had far better seat and suspension for a 1980's sport bike.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like having both is the way to go! Which one gets ridden the most? I know where a 2020 rs with ecu tune, in that gorgeous dark green is. Might be for sale too.

At the moment pretty even I think. I'm going away for Easter and taking the Z, because I have luggage on it and can't afford to put the luggage on the RS at the moment.

    Beautiful pair of 900s there!

I thought I'd get something retro a couple of years ago as well, but ended up with a T120 instead. Kinda wish I'd picked up the RS, but thought I'd add some diversity. Anyway, I still have my CBX to scratch my UJM itch  :001:

     So Mav.
if you had to build one bike out of the both what bits would get kept and what bits go to the scrap man?
