    I don't want a cruise control.

I don’t like electronic add-ons that I don’t need. The simpler the bike, the more reliable. I’d rather see factory ss braided brake lines, better calipers and better suspension. These are all the things I need and have improved some myself on my bike.
And of course, how about better tires from the factory.

I don't think that Z900 will have major update, 2020 was facelifting, new model is more likely (given 2017 was Year of release for Z900). Recently it had SE version and I think that is all for Z900 as we know it.

What a gloomy outlook, but probably accurate.   :034:

I see a lot of good input from many perspectives.   I don't race so for me ride comfort and electronic assists are key.  I hear that you must flog a MT-09 to get it to move, I like the low-end torque of the Z900 for fun spirited driving that doesn't have to be at redline.

I'm not sure how much better the Z could look IMO, but a face lift with better LED headlights would be welcome, and yes, I forgot about Cruise control, but that won't happen until it goes to a TBW design.    :084:

I am a Kawasaki fan, so far neither of my two bikes have ever let me down, ride well and are high quality built for the price.

Maybe I should start to look at the Z H2.....   :164:

The zh2 is just far to heavy...
I also doubt if you would use more than 50% of its power on the road...
Love to hear the view of someone who has ridden it though

It's only 59.5 lbs.  :164:   Just because you have the power behind the engine, doesn't mean you can't have it and enjoy it without racing it.  I don't come close to using the power on my Z900 as I am not an aggressive rider.   But the electrical bells and whistles including cruise and such to me would be a huge plus.   :007:

I'm in the keep-it-simple category but I realize I'm not the target customer for new bikes.    But if it were up to me I'd like a bike with zero electronic gadgets, analog tach/speedo, and I'd spend the money on suspension improvements (two live legs in front, compression/rebound on both ends), better brakes, better headlight, and then I'd just focus on removing some weight and improving fit/finish details.

The best bikes are the ones that get the details right.
