    Hand/wind guards for SE

I reached a dead end on this so if anyone has any good answer please assist.

I was looking for hand guards (wind guards actually, not the lever protectors but wind deflector type like givi and puig). I bought the Givi and had to return it since the right one couldn't fit due to the difference in handlebar for the brembo brakes. There was no room to install.

I checked other brands, they all said it would only fit the Z900, not the SE.

Has anyone found a good one that can fit on SE?

I’m guessing the problem is where they attach to the bars because of the master cylinder/brake fluid reservoir? If that’s the case, try hand guards that only attach at the end of the bars. The SW Motech Kobra handguards come in various options including generic fit that attach to bars with a 6mm or 8mm internal thread, so they might work.

Actually they all attach on 2 points. On bar ends and to another point. The givis attach on the lower mirror bolt and there was an extended part of the brakes, not the reservoir, in the way. I've seen the puig attaching on mirror base which shouldn't interfere but since i asked them directly and they said they won't fit, i don't waste another minute. I actually need to know if anyone managed to get them on. I'll check those SW you mentioned. Didn't know them. Thanks

OK i just had a look at them. They are not wind protectors but mostly crash protectors and i don't like them. They remind me motocross guards

Fair enough. They sell an extension for them that makes them more wind protection based, but if you don’t like the style, then no good. Have a look at barkbusters, they sell some hand guards that only attach at the end of the bars too.

This is the type I'm looking for. It seems that only Givi and Puig are close from those i checked so far

Maybe stupid question, but, why would you need hand/wind guards on Cyprus?

    From Wikipedia:
Cyprus has one of the warmest climates and warmest winters in the Mediterranean part of the European Union.

    From Wikipedia:

Not stupid question my friend but cyprus, despite being hot in the summer, tends to desert climate the late years. Extreme cold at night and very hot at day. Of course we don't compare to other cold countries but still your hands will freeze in the cold winter

What temperatures are we talking about? Gloves (winter gloves if necessary) are not enough?
Asking because those guards are very unpleasant when weather is hot.

It's not the temp value but the feeling. We have wet air. Yes, winter gloves are enough but i don't feel comfortable with them and I'm just trying to avoid gloves during the average temps. Didn't think about hot weather though because I'm thinking that the air will still be hot so what's the harm. Have you tried them in summer yourself?

Tried on different bike when temperature was 18-20C and it was not comfortable with sommer gloves, to hot. Then again, i dont ride when temperature is above 26-27C (but also not when its lower than 8-10C)  :001:
