Why all those aftermarket Levers are so square and not rounded like OEM Levers?

Had a set on my  Z750 and replaced them back to OEM after first ride - they hurt my fingers joints (but, i do have very mild Arthritis, maybe that's why it was so uncomfortable for me). I have no discomfort with OEM Levers.

Thats an excellent point.  I hadn't considered the sharpness of the edge to make the lever uncomfortable.

I also notice the cheaper ones are so much more curved back and not as straight as OEM. I can see how they could impede operation if misadjusted.    Looks like i will be taking anything off the table that is so curved.  I will need to look at the edge curvature as well, great point.   :821:

I couldn't say how the ABMs compare with the high end brands.

Are some of these brands actually designing/producing themselves or are they just buying the chinese ones we all see on ebay etc and just laser etching their name on the lever and reselling them on to you at double the price?
Always something to keep in mind.

I’m using a Hotbodies MGP set. Foldable, extendable, and they have a really nice feel to them.

Thanks to all for their input. I bit the bullet last night and ordered my new levers.  Don't tell my wife.   :110:

At the end of the day, I wanted a solid lever that was reliable, with decent adjustability and for my sanity - a good reputation.  Cost was a consideration, because I am frugal, not because I am broke.  :015: I also wanted something that would be comfortable (hard to substantiate without trying them out) AND would match my Z900 aesthetics (IMO) as well as provide a little "bling".

I played it safe, not wanting to do the proper research to prove cheaper is just as good, not wanting to worry about color wearing off and I wanted a warranty.  I also took it hole hearted that levers are not something you want to do "wrong" as my safety and of the bike can depend on those working 100% of the time.

The icing on the cake was the company has a Military Discount which saved me $45.  :152:  I like the black, grey and blue colors I got on the levers. Below is a mockup of the levers I did from the website.  My Z is Plasma Blue and Grey with black, so I hope it complements the colors well.

    And the winner is:
     :821:

    ASV C5 Levers.  $255 shipped.

I have the same ones but red/black and no complaints. Adjusters work good and they are good quality. Those colors should look good with your bike. 👍🏻
