Why all those aftermarket Levers are so square and not rounded like OEM Levers?

Had a set on my  Z750 and replaced them back to OEM after first ride - they hurt my fingers joints (but, i do have very mild Arthritis, maybe that's why it was so uncomfortable for me). I have no discomfort with OEM Levers.

somehow i also become to mind that i want oem levers back on the bike, just i would paint them black and they are best

Good choice going with ASV.  I spent a considerable amount of time researching levers before my purchase and ended up making the same decision.

The adjustability appears to be unmatched - you couple that with superb built quality as well as the large number customization options, ASVs are hard to beat.

Thanks kevperro.  I saw a video where a guy could not fully use some of his lever adjustments because in the closest setting the lever would contact the hand grip before the clutch was fully engaged or the brake cylinder plunger was not fully being depressed.  Both very dangerous.

Where did you find the clutch adjuster?

Sorry... I missed your question.   The adjuster I found on AliExpress.   It is nicely machined and the large wheel is easier to use than the OEM part which was kind of chewed up by the prior owner.

My levers are the same ones as porkchop is using.     They seem excellent to me.   They are shorties and I can understand why someone would prefer a full-length lever but I have no issues with these.   The wheel adjustor is very nice giving you much more adjustability.

Thanks for the info.  I saw several versions of those on line, but was curious if they all were the same (likely) but would rather have some from a place that was proven and reviewed/used by a member.  :002:

I installed my new levers yesterday afternoon...they are exactly what I was expecting and they look great IMO.

Here is a mini review for those who might care...

    DESIGN
I went with the long levers in Grey with a Blue adjustor.  The Blue adjusters are a close enough match to my Plasma Blue paint.  The grey levers are a medium/medium-dark blue-grey color.   Although not a match for the light grey on the Z, it still fits well and IMO breaks up the colors as opposed to going with black levers.   I LOVE the grey color so much I entertained the idea (for a split second) of getting the grey on the bike painted to match.    :038:

    INSTALL
Installation was not as straight forward due to my OCD.  Unless you have OCD like I do you may not understand.  I took the Kawasaki Service Manual, scanned the pertinent pages, converted the 7 pages to a word doc so I could lay it out step by step how to "properly" remove and install the levers.  But it goes further than that!    I have to be sure I get all torque specs, lubrication points and document all relevant adjustments and things I may as well do "while I'm there".   :112:
To my frustration, there is NO torque spec for the clutch bolt nut in the OEM Service Manual. So to make a long story short I had to "wing" a few things and reuse a few parts that are suppose to be replaced (the before mentioned Clutch nut)....Just a little insight into my world and to maybe explain why I ask some "dumb" questions at times.   :027:

    USE AND PERFORMANCE
They DO feel different that the OEM ones - not just because of the shape and texture but in how responsive they are and how I have to interact with the new controls.  The pull on the new levers is harder to pull than the OEM levers - no, I don't have anything over tightened.  :016:  But with this also comes with a bit more feedback and much less "mushiness" than the stock levers.  I also had to adjust the lever angles a bit to put them back in line for ergonomic reach while riding, but this may also have to do with the new seat I installed a short while ago as my riding angle is also now different.  They do have some up and down play, maybe a hair less than the OEM levers but feel solid.  For you guys wanting to save weight on your Z, I have bad news. The OEM levers came in at 10.40oz (294.8g) vs. the ASV coming in at 12.65oz (358g).

They sure look nice... and I doubt that two ounces will matter.  :-)

...looks good.  I'm always distracted by the electric lime green background in your pics. Nice Taco (or Tundra) ...can't tell from the angle.

I was considering the Womtech Levers from TST industries, quite pricey, and then I found them on Amazon, $25,

Amazing kit, solid, less tolerance than even the OEM levers
