All the non matte colors that are painted shiny do have metallic paint and a nice sparkle.

I ordered the rear fender extender expecting it to be the same color as the front fender and it came in black. I got it yesterday and called Kawasaki toady to ask about it. They are contacting the distributor and see what they say. If it really also comes in grey/graphite or just black. The Kawasaki website photos shows it in grey and I though the grey looked a little dark, but thought it would be the same color as the front fender. Both versions of the ABS models seem to have the same color front fender. But as you know, it's really hard to tell from the photos they post, but the rear fender extender did does look grey. You can look at parts for the z900 on Kawasaki.com and see what I'm talking about.

I asked that if they only had it in black, if it could be painted and if so, what is the paint color number and how can I get it. I can have a local paint shop paint it for me.

I did swap out the black handle bar grip ends with red ones to go with the red accents. Also in the license plate, I also use red spikes to hold the plate. I also am waiting on rider foot peg heel protectors. to replace the ones in silver. I order ones that are black on the bottom, with a red accent on top and has the Z900 logo. Oh and also waiting on engine guards that just go in the hole just in front of the engine on top. That too is black with a red accent and don't stick out far. They don't give as much protection as some of the other ones, but they aren't too big and I prefer the look.

I will take some updated photos and highlight some of the items I described which are already installed.

I have some things to do today that require me to use the car (Amazon Returns too big for the Motorcycle), but hopefully tomorrow I can work around some isolated thunder storms and take the photos and go for a ride .

Still no outside photos. We've been getting a lot of rain and when it's nice I just go ride. I installed the Akrapovic Exhaust, black and red rider heel plates and the fender extender. I went back and forth on the rear fender extender. I thought it would match the front fender but it only comes in black for the USA market. I have seen some dealer reviews from India on YouTube and they seem to match the front fender.

I installed it and I'm including two photos of the Motorcycle with and without the rear fender extender. The jury is still out about how much I like it. Kawasaki also couldn't tell me if it could be painted, that they had never tried. I can get the paint at colorrite to match it. Going to see a friend of my nephew who does excellent paint work to see if it's possible to paint it.

I never ride in the rain, but if I were to get caught in it, it would help to keep the back of my jacket clean. It probable would also help in not firing stones at a driver's windshield behind me. If the tire where to sling a pebble or debris, it would do it lower.

This is a long weekend here for Memorial day and the weather is suppose to be good all weekend, so I should have time for outdoor photos. I still need to mount the engine protectors.

Yes, I know, my garage is a mess. Slowly getting rid of stuff and getting more organize. I really don't have a lot of room. I park two car and the Motorcycle in it.

Here is a photo outside. I also changed the oil filler cap to a black and red one after this photo was taken.

I also need to add the black with red accent engine protectors that goes in the whole in front of the engine. Today I took it in for the 600 mile service. I asked about the torque specs since the front whole has a screw to the top front of the engine. I need to clarify with the dealer if the specs he gave me are Newton Meters or Foot Pounds of torque.

I also ordered the Large Meter Cover and some red screws for the stock or larger cover. I will mostly use the stock one around town and will only use the larger one for long trips. Here in Florida it's nice to have the breeze. I normally cruise on A1A along the ocean and the speed limit is mostly 45-50MPH so the small cover is fine for those speeds. After 70 is where I'm hoping the larger Meter Cover will help and that will only be on longer trips. I think it already shipped and I should have in in a few days.
