    What is your commuter setup?

Hey guys I just got my Z900 last week and I am already wanting to start commuting on it. I have my work setup down: Ogio Mach 1 backpack, carry my helmet and jacket to my desk, boom easy. Now I find myself struggling with the other things like meeting up with friends and going to restaurants. I want to be able to walk into a restaurant without screaming hey! I just rode a sport bike over here.

Give me some ideas on what kind of luggage or gear to order for my bike. Several years ago with my Suzuki Gladius, I used to lock my helmet to the bike and secure my jacket and gloves to the rear seat with a bungy net. I think a helmet lock is in short order, but I do not know what to do with my jacket. I tried a tail bag, but could not mount it to the rear seat.

Maybe its time I buy one of those stylish flannel riding jackets? I really do not like the idea of riding without some upper body protection.

I have also thought about getting a Shad or Givi top case, but I am not sure how long I will be keeping this bike and that top case will really ruin the lines of the bike.

Through out some ideas. I am all ears.

I use a coiled cable lock as a helmet lock and will run it down one of the jacket sleeves and leave the jacket on the seat.  Don't really have a good solution for gloves.  I almost always carry a backpack when riding and usually toss them in there, but I have also left them in my helmet and so far have never had an issue.

    Like Echo said-
Made a simple 4-5’ 3/16” aircraft cable loop using 2 ferrules + a padlock had kicking around.
Attach it to something solid and unless your carrying a pair of heavy duty side cutters it’s not going anywhere soon.
    Any deterrent helps.
I lock up everything, DON’T TRUST NO ONE but usually take helmet w/ gloves into places I go.
New York requires the noggin cover and my gloves are to damn nice + expensive to have walk away.
People outside the riding community (few in it too I guess) are scumbags, sad we can’t believe in our fellow man anymore...

    Enjoy the new ride!
