Has anyone seen this airbox and throttle body modification? Curious to know if anyone has tried it and what the general thoughts are.

Introducing the 12:1 airbox mod. Two 40mm pipes shoving cool fresh forced air straight into the filter. Not bad for a bit of glue and flex exhaust pipe. Fabricated using the Z900 frame but fitted to an RS.

In the old days we removed those secondary butterflies.  The ECU on our bikes was holding them closed and restricting power.  Removing  the butterflies gave huge gains, almost everywhere as long as you added fuel with your Power Commander.  This goes back to 2008, and probably even earlier.

He's selling a fuel tuner which doesn't compete with even a basic ECU reflash.

Now days there is no reason to remove them.. in fact, it's a foolish thing to do.  Several vendors can flash your ECU to have these open when you want them open, and closed/partially closed when you don't. These screws were hard to remove....easy to strip.  Difficult to re-install once technology made removing them obsolete.

They flash the ECU and are able to do much more than the power commander ever dreamed of doing.

This video is about like me demonstrating a flip phone and trying to convince you it's new technology or something you should be interested in.

I didn't sit through his entire video.  When someone is showing you ten years old technology, odds are the rest of what he's showing isn't worth watching.

Au$50 worth. Aliexpress flexi exhaust tube, spa bath motor pvc fittings, loctite metal weld epoxy and 3 bond 1207b. Grille came off a spare rad guard I had lying about.

Z9 airbox on the left, RS on the right.
