    Power feed after battery

I need a heavy duty power feed after the battery so its off when key awitched off,,cannot use auxillary 12v as thats used for USB adaptor and also not heavy duty enough

it works fine on Battery but can be switched on even if bike  key off and that would flatten battery

just need to splice in 12 positive wire for feed for spot lights

Ok looking at a Z900  wiring diagram looks like best place to get a feed is either off live side of ignition  switch  or live side of fuses  ,   or off feed to main light cicuit

but is it a canbus system  because  then i might cause problems

    anywhere else ????  suggestions please

Can't you double up on the auxiliary with a relay?

I wouldnt think that the trigger side of the relay will put any appreciable extra load on the auxiliary.
Run the +ve direct from the battery to your device and the ground through the other side of the relay.

Good point Cazzy  the  kit for spotlights has a relay  and the red wire  and switch do connect to that , I will test it on the auxillary feed

WOW!   what an improvement  , the road out to 50m ahead is now really well defined  and bright  and out t 100m visisbilty  and definintion  is up by 50%  ,,, left had beam is  sighted  straight ahead and right hand beam is sighted 5dg left so as not to blind drivers in other direction .

It shows how puny the Kawasaki LED main beam is as it matters not wether its on or not   the LED dip is OK but with the spots its wonderful now

I may be able to get even better results with a few tweaks  , parked the bike opposite a wall i about 70m back  the Main Beam left a pathetic patch 4m square   and useless  , but when spots were on the whole wall was nice and bright and defined

I can now ride in confidence at night ,
